Electric Bikes: a Fun Way to Keep Fit
Are you lacking exercise? It’s a normal thing – we all realize this, and still many things get in our way of actually doing exercise. You see people crowded into gyms working out, and think : well, I must travel to the gym, pay for my membership fee, then workout. It just seems like a lot of effort, can’t I do something that’s not going to waste a lot of my precious time – something that’s even pragmatic?
Then you may consider cycling, as bicycling is a great means to improve your health. You can bike to work or do some shopping, so it’s very pragmatic. It’s also cost-effective – there’s no petrol required and the running costs are negligable. It’s also eco-friendly. Oh, and it gets you fit too!
Yet lots of people are reluctant to get a push bike because it’s TOO much effort. As bizarre as that may sound, it could be because they might live in a hilly location, be elderly or have a particular ailment that make cycling too much effort for their capabilities. And for a few people, it’s not pragmatic pedaling to their work simply because they sweat too much because of the exertions of pedaling.
Now it’s time to talk about electric bikes. They allow you to give your legs a break on the severe slopes merely by twisting your hand on the handlebar and letting the electric motor take over – you don’t need to do any peddling then. Then when you feel up to it, just pedal. You get gentle exercise and clean air without doing yourself in. E-bikes are also very cheap to operate needing only a daily recharge if you do around 30-40k a day, although most individuals require only a couple of recharges per week since they’re not doing this kind of distance. If you need to carry your bike around, consider a folding frame e-bike.
These days the real cost of getting an e-bike have dropped in price, so you can save yourself a considerable amount of dosh on fuel, bus fares, gym memberships etc. by buying and regularly using an e-bike.
